Landscape assessment is an important part of the work of landscape architects at Threshers. It typically involves preparing evaluations of the quality of rural and urban landscapes, such as evaluations of the effects of proposed developments on existing landscapes or for use in policy formation and asset management.
Visual Assessments are primarily concerned with the visual impacts of developments on the landscape. These are often requested by developers for submissions to council illustrating the low visual impact of their development on the surrounding area. In other cases residents or landowners concerned with a development may commission a visual assessment to illustrate the potential visual impact before a development is approved by council.
